I thought that permethrin stuff is dangerous to cats...... I may be wrong...

I think the best flea treatment is the kind you can get from the vets. Advantage or Frontline. I personally wouldn't go with anything over the counter. I did one time, and had a big scare with Dori. I will never take that risk again. It had the permethrin at unsafe levels for cats even though the product was for cats.
