I had to share this SCARY TRUE story of SURVIVAL with u.. Are you ready to be scared???
This morning as I was trying to get ready to leave for work, I recalled that I needed to put all my 4 furbabies into the bedroom and keep the door closed since the maintence guys would come in to ck my furnace filters.
SOOO, here I go trying to catch all the 4 mischievous furbabies! I thought it'd take me FOREVER.
Well, I thought of an idea
and grabbed a shoelace and dangled it into my bedroom (coaxing cats to follow me in) and THREE followed me in so I managed to shut the door without the cats escaping.
WHEW.
Now, I went on the hunt for the last but the wilest of all.. Peppy!!!! The SMALLEST, FASTEST, and the WILEST of all cats!! Tip toe I went into the living room, looking behind the couch, under the desk and over the bookshelves.. crooning and calling her name.. After I looked high and low for Pepper, I thought
maybe she WAS in the bedroom already (COULD THAT BE POSSIBLE THAT THIS WOULD BE EASIER THAN I THOUGHT??)
I opened the bedroom door SLOWLY and CAREFULLY then squeezed myself thru so no cats would escape. Tip toed CAREFULLY to the bed, looked under the bed. Saw 2 glowy dots so that must be Pepper!!!
WHEW! It sure was a lot EASIER than I had thought to get all 4 cats into the bedroom!
As I opened the door to leave the bedroom- who did I see??
Yeppo! Pepper the WILY!! I shut the door keeping 3 cats inside and went on the hunt..
ZOOOM went Peppy running! Where did she go?? My earts darted
that way and this way
trying to find out where she had hid.
As I got closer to her, she'd jump out and go running leaping onto furniture, making things fall trying to get away from me...
She ran into the bathroom so I went after her! Closing the door QUIETLY, I started tip toeing to the bathtub where she was hiding..
HIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs she went!
Pant Pant Pant HISSSSSSSSSSSSSS HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS she growled warning me..
Then she leapt toward the shower curtain with her lethal claws extended!!! Heroically, I grabbed her thru the curtain and was able to hold on to her as I pried her SHARP claws out of the poor shower curtains saving the curtains!
Moving quickly to avoid painful torture by her sharp teeth and claws, I opened the bathroom door, rushed to the bedroom door, opened it wide enough and shoved Pepper in then slammed the door!
I patted myself down to see if she had drawn any blood.
NOPE! Whew.. I survived this adventure with all my limbs intact!
Now, I will be going home in half an hour..
How will I be greeted by the WILY, SMALL, and FAST Pepper and her 3 siblings?? With love or with claws????
