You are allowed up to -2048.0 MB storage in your Yahoo! Mail account. You have exceeded your quota by a large amount, as you are currently using 0.0 MB of storage. Your account has been temporarily disabled from receiving new messages. Please delete messages you no longer need, especially large messages, in your Yahoo! Mail account so that you can receive new mail. To delete messages, just go to the Yahoo! Mail website (http://mail.yahoo.com) and sign in to your account. We recommend that you keep at least 1 MB of free space to receive incoming mail. To reduce the likelihood of reaching or exceeding your storage quota, we suggest that you configure your POP3 client to "Delete messages from the server" when retrieving your Yahoo! Mail. Check the help files for your POP3 client if you need assistance in adjusting your settings. Sincerely, The Yahoo! Mail Team

Now if you look at it, you see that I am using up 0.0 MB of my storage, yet they are shutting it off because I am using more than 2048.0 MB. Now, how does that make any sense?

Well, I can't go in and delete messages that aren't there. That's what so crazy about this letter. It states that I am using 0 MB of space, but it still wants me to delete the messages that are making me use 2048.0 MB of space. It's just crazy. To me it sounds like Yahoo is having a "blonde" moment.

"You are allowed up to -2048.0 MB storage in your Yahoo! Mail account."

I THINK they're saying minus 2048.0 MB. That would explain the math, but not much else

That is truly weird!

Ever consider using a different service provider??

That is odd. The upgrade Yahoo just did might have somehow sent you that email. I have noticed whenever anyone upgrades that there is usually a period where things are messed up. Knock on wood, so far my yahoo upgrade is fine. Good luck getting yours straightened out.

My Yahoo Mailbox has been misbehaving since the upgrade. It is taking a really long time to go to the message once I click on it, is taking even longer to delete and has several times said the connection was refused. Tonight Yahoo IM service was also down for a while. Wonder what's going on?

Hello!

Yahoo has just over the past day or so upgraded their mail systems. My storage capacity has been upgraded as well. It was a bit wonky for a while and I kept getting strange automated messages as the system was trying to figure things out. Maybe this was also a hic-up in the system?

Mine has been taking forever. And Replying to messages... Forget about it. It doesn't seem to like that function at all.
