Hey guys,

I'm currently trying to compile a listing of music for my gym but I'm not the kind of person who listens to fast music so I'm having trouble finding songs/music for my workout..I'll really appreciate if you guys could offer some songs/music that's fast and good for a cardio workout cos I'm really bad at this..

Get a mix of some AFI, Adema, and mabye some smashing pumpkins? SP stuff is kinda of slow. Linkin park is pretty good stuff to work out too. Gets you mad so your work out goes really well
Works wonders for me.

Peace,
Brandon

I focus more on the music than anything else, and just keep going.

I don't usually listen to music when doing resistance stuff, but when running or biking or whatever...something that is endurance based, I just tune into the music, the various instruments....takes my mind off the simplicity of pedaling or running. It also keeps me from thinking too much about breathing and stepping etc.

If you can keep your mind off what you are actually doing, it seems to make it easier.

I like the fast stuff, like dance, techno, or trance. I just bought that 2 CD set "As seen on tv" with all 2003 dance music on it. If you're not into fast but you need something lively, try Elvis

I agree with Miss Kitty. I don't usually listen to techno outside of the gym, but it really does keep me going in there! I also have the Fired Up cd....love it! You see, I'm really bad because I've been training for a marathon and have started unconsiously keeping track of how many songs must play during my long runs, so I almost always know how much longer I have to go! This is very disheartening for me sometimes. Fired Up is long enough so it doesn't start over in the middle of my run...kinda nice.

I'm at the gym tonight and up above me is where they do all the aerobics etc... so i'll ask what music she plays.

It's normally the chart music, but faster and with more of a beat to it

I burned many cd's for when i'm on the treadmill-I use older stuff donna summer, beach boys, many disco songs from the 70's. I'll have to look at them to see what other songs I used.
