Tiki's first bath...at home!

I thought I'd give it my best shot at giving Ms. Tiki a bath tonight. I had never taken on quite a task before, but I figured she needs to get used to it sometime!

At this point, I'm not sure which one of us got the bath since I'm drenched from head to toe! Poor little babe...she yowled like no other! She had a death grip on my neck & buried her little nose in my arm pit. Now she's totally ticked off & can't quite decide which part of her she needs to reclean!

Those photos are brilliant- and I can relate to this- particularly the first pic which seems to be saying 'what have you done to me Mum!!'
She looks just like my 10 year old Bibby after a bath
I had Bibby for nearly 18 months before I brought home a kitten- had always been too afraid to bath her.
I was bathing my kitten regularly- and one day decided to give Bibby a bath- used a mesh cat bathing bag that I bought at a pet store.
Was surprised at how good she was- although the Siamese type yowls started after 5 minutes. Its been easier (and quieter) since- she seems to like being clean.
Life is too short for me to blow dry her- although Beau now just lies there li ke a damp sack looking miserable when I dry him.
Have to dig out my photos of a wet Bibby!!

now for another niave question for the day - why do you give cats a bath? I have never heard of anyone doing this before I found this site - isnt it enough that they clean themselves?
