If someone was to offer you a kitten right now, and you had to take one, (breed of your choice), which one would you take, the boy or the girl? Me personally, it would be a very very tough decision........both have great qualities......but I think I would take a boy over a girl.........if I had too.
Here's my boy!

I would pick the one that said it wanted to be mine. I have always had cats of either sex and I enjoy both male and female equally. (Neutered, of course.)

Squirt, you're so funny!
She loooves that Tiggy! I would probably take a boy because I have a girl now, and she's missing the boy in her life

I think I answered very fairly, I not only picked from a boy or a girl, I named the specific boy I would pick. I can't help it, I just love him.

Yes it is hard to make a choice , I normaly let the cat pic or bond with me . But I have a thing with girls and like their personality . I would pick a girl just for me

Thanks Hedi..........I've never had a choice of a kitty picking me. Two of ours are rescues, and the third, there was only one kitten left in the litter! I love all my babies, 2 girls and a boy, but my boy just seems to be a little bit cuddlier.

Heidi-
We can share him, I will give you visitation rights. You can come to my place and see him whenever you want to! Does that sound like a fair deal?

It just so hard to answer that because I wouldn't even take it into consideration I don't think. I have never had a boy cat, so I don't know if they behave differently, it would be spayed/neutered
I really believe that the kitty picks you. I am sorry I can't pick

Gender doesn't particularly matter, but presented with a choice, all other qualities being equal...I would probably opt for the boy over the girl.

Males tend to be a little more playful, a little easier to manipulate and less independant.

Females tend to be selectively playful, much more aware of their surroundings, and much more independant.

I prefer male cats, that doesn't mean I wouldn't take a female, but if given a choice between two kittens who looked alike and were equally as friendly, I'd take the boy.

I have 4 Girls and 2 Boys.... I would definitely take another 2 Boys to make 4 of each!

I agree with Spotz analysis of boys vs girls... And I do like them both... I like the extra challenge of earning a girls affection, and I like the "I'll let you do anything to me" attitude of boys.

So far out in left field I got lost
I must say that I would take the male over a female. No particular reason other than I have always had males. Nakita my red Husky is the only female animal I have ever owned. She is the sweetest dog so she could persuade me to take another female animal in with no problem.

Boy, definitely a boy. I love my girl kitty an all my previous girl kitties, but I have found that males seem much more devoted than girls.
