We flipped a coin over the phone
and I won bragging rights.

We're earning our nickname again. Our oldest daughter informed us last night that she's expecting another crumb cruncher.

Another 1 to spoil and send home

"Crumb cruncher" is good. Why do I get the impression that people often enjoy being grandparents more than being parents? Being able to spoil the kids without having a guilty conscience about it?

Jcat, that one is easy. You can spoil the heck out of granchildren, send them home. and know that someone else has to pay the price.
And you do it all completely guilt free

There is always a special bond between children and their grandparents, they have a common enemy (only joking)

"BTW how do you flip a coin over the phone?"

Simple. I flipped the coin and cheated.
(Which she knew because I told her)

I was allowed to tell this board. She told the rest of the world.
We have a democracy in our house. Everyones vote counts. In case of a tie her vote counts just a little more than mine.

It's fair.
