Thought I'd start a thread for Calico cat pics.
In saying so, here's Nala

When she was a baby and brand new to my home

An ever curious Nala

A nice easy comfortable rest position

Well, of course I can't resist. These are old pics, but maybe worth a repost for a calico thread.

Nala was a pretty cute kitten. There's got to be some sort of "cute" switch in the brain that goes off when you see a kitten like that.

You're right Scott, when I first saw Nala, the "AWWWW....
" mode clicked into my eyes and mind, and I think even my husband even had a small piece of that response in his mind, because she is still with us

In saying that, your cat was/or is definitely a cute kitten. Loved all of your pics but especially the first one. You and your little girl looked so happy, sleeping contentedly together

Hissy-Smudgers and Graycat-Kuce, your cats are both also beautiful. Loved seeing them

Here is Carmel, I thought she was tortoiseshell, but our vet told us she's calico since she has 4 white paws.

Here's a pic of Rusty who I raised from a kitten.. When I moved, I decided to leave her with my parents since she grew up there and HATES me so I knew she wouldn't be happy living with me. She is now about 12-13 yrs old and still is very frisky as ever!

This is Callie- a feral who I used to feed at my old apartment. She was
very very wary at the beginning but began to trust me enough to let me closer to her. I don't know if u can see in this pic but her right ear
is clipped to show that she was spayed and given all shots. (I did TNR with her)

She is still very very feral.

I had to leave her at the old place
recently
(end of April) because I moved into an apt and wasn't sure she'd be
happy living as an indoor cat only AND be able to get along with my 4 furbabies. It was a very very difficult decision for me to make.

Luckily, I was able to find a neighbor who was willing to take over
feeding her. I check in with the neighbor to see how Callie is doing and
last I heard, she's doing great!

I miss her though!

What a bunch of beauties! Calicos always remind me of my grandma's house. She was a big cat lover and she always had a calico or two. They were so patient with us grandkids! I have fond memories of them.

I've had a rare calico foster that I can share pictures of. Unfortunately they seem pretty unusual in our area.

Here's Emmy (with her equally beautiful sibling Toby -- aren't they stunning? Tony is a manx.):

And here's foster Julia -- dilute calicos are one my personal weaknesses
