When the grass is orange and brown, I like how the rain brings the 'green-ness' to it. How pretty it is then, and how nice it is to feel not so nearly hot as before. Rain also brings a drop in the ant pests found around the house and a drop in the allergens in the air, making me feel not so itchy in the eyes and wheezy in the breathing department. I like rain.

I enjoy sleeping late on a rainy day or just lying there listening to the rain while I snuggle with my sweet Sierra or read a good book. I especiallly appreciate that it waters the beautiful plants and flowers.

I also love rainy days when I do not have to go to work. I enjoy just laying around maybe watching a movie, or reading a book. Of course, I also like sleeping on a rainy day
And so does Dori, but then again, she likes sleeping everyday

I love the smell of the earth after a good rain. I've been to the rainforests in Panama, the desert southwest, southern U.S., northeastern U.S. and midwest U.S. and they all have their distinct smells after a rain. When asked about my strongest memory of Panama, my response was the strong smell of the forest after the afternoon rains - over the Panama Canal, and everything else we saw down there!

Rain brings life in all forms and that is a good thing.

Ditto. I find the thunder to be soothing, as long as it's not right overhead.

I'm known for running outside when it rains, and laying in the grass so I getget throuroughly rained on.. or also running around my neighborhood. I love rain as long as there's no thinder and lightening.. In that situation, Paige and I sleep in the closet together. (Although, for her, that's only because she get to be in the mysterious "closet" where we never have the cats)

Since the tornado hit our house last June, I am now terrified of any major thunder storm. We had a bad storm front thru on Saturday night with 70 MPH winds ahead of the thunder/lightning. Branches cracking and falling, you could hear the wind outside even though all the windows were shut. I went into my kitchen, the quietest room in the house and distracted myself by making cat toys.

Rain - good. Thunder & lightning - scary. Tornados - terrifying.

I love the rain, too. I miss it so much living in Southern California. When it rains here, it REEEEEEEALLY rains, though. Floods, houses sliding into the ocean, fun stuff. When I lived in Northern Cal it was wonderful - rain all the time. Miss it!!

I love the smell, the sound and the feel, but I love the smell best. The smell of wet dirt, wet trees, wet grass...it's the best aromatherapy in the world. If someone could bottle that They'd be millionaires, I bet. I also love the smell of web sage brush. It's my favourite smell in the world! I reminds me of camping as a child and of my grandparents cabin out in the desert where there are a lot of thunderstorms. When we go camping now, we pray for rain (even though we are tent campers and we camp in the high Sierras!) just so we can enjoy the scent of wet woods and sage.

I love the sound of rain so much that I have a noise machine beside my bed which sounds like falling rain and I have a hard time sleeping without it! I can't sleep without noise of some kind, and this is the best cure I've found.

I actually don't like rain very much at all. Rain means it will be muddy and I don't like to ride my horse in the mud (he slips a lot in it), and I don't like cleaning the mud off him besides. Also after it rains it is so humid and sticky and yucky.

I used to LOVE the rain in Texas. The landscape was so flat you could see forever! And we had afternoon thundershowers...something I only experienced in Texas...the sky would be clear one minute, then 10 minutes later...RAIN...then another 20 minutes later and clear skies again : ) it was neat!

No. No. and No. OMG, are ya'll crazy?? Rain??? And even Jenn in my own state likes the rain.
We have had three weekends straight of BIG rain, can't do anything outside, all my new annuals are turning yellow from lack of light and sun and drier air, and all this rain makes me creaky and frizzy. The only good from it is that Sasha likes to watch the hail bounce around and doesn't like the rain either, so it has tempered any interest he may have had in returning to the outdoors and we've been grateful for that. I like big thunder-bumpers but not the English mist (sorry, UK!) we seemed to have gotten ALL darn June so far!

I love almost everything about the rain. I love the way it sounds hitting the windows, the house, the ground. .anything. I love the crack of thundering breaking up the steady beat of rain drops. I love all the grays in the sky, or the golden hue it can sometimes cause. The electricity it causes inside of you with the slight thrill/scare of lightening and danger.

As an artist.. the rain/thunderstorms are definitely a source of inspiration and reverance. I wish I could properly protray every image it gives me

Rain also symbolizes a sort of rebirth in my mind so I often use it to refer to things .. I guess the washing away of dirt.. the sun after the darkness. Not to mention it helps me sleep

I remember in Germany about 20 years ago , it was summer , one day it was raining and it was warm rain . That was so nice just to walk in the warm rain and after that rain I could see the rainbow . Ahhhhh that was so romantic to me and want to sit down and smell roses or lilac . It was just very beautiful and I still think of this day even in 20 years from now

I like walking in the rain in the summer. I also love it when it's raining at night and I'm all nice and cozy inside. That happened Saturday night, actually. It's one of those "so glad I'm in here, not out there" feelings.

The smell! I love the smell! And the mistiness, especially in the country. It smells fresh and the leaves are brighter green through the mist. I love it.
