I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. One of my cats has been peeing and pooping in my bedroom and on my fiance's clothes all week. There is some stress in the house (we are getting ready to move and a wedding in 10 months). She's 10 years old and never did this before. I think she's upset about strangers coming in to see my condo (I'm selling it). Any ideas on how to get her back to normal? She doesn't have a urinary infection/ problem.

when others have posted in about the same problem, theyve been told that this is usually a sign that the cat is stressed, when they do this to your personal belongings.

You can taken her to the vet to be checked correct? As you say she does not have a UTI. It is quite likely that she is responding to the changes in the house. To your stress level as you are getting ready to move and get married and the invasion of strangers into her turf.

But I would also be investigating rescue remedy and a comfort zone room diffuser for her. If you can make her a safe room where she can stay when your home is being shown- one that is off limits to the prospective clients that would be good. In there play a radio on white noise low and provide her with dark hidey holes that she can go into. Put a large sign on the door telling people the room is off limits due to a pet inside. If you home is immaculate when the agent brings people through, there is no way they are going to think that this room isn't the same.
