Popups?

I was under the impression that there was no popups on TCS but i get some.Did this change?

We allow one every 24 hours to appear

Ok but i visit on more then once a day some days and i get it every time i'm here.

Perhaps if you log out, it is more than one. It should be a 'pop-under' when you do see it.

You should never receive more than one pop-up every 24 hours from the forums. If you're getting more, you need to check your pc for spyware. I believe there was a thread about spyware in the lounge not so long ago.

We use Spybot and another cleaner which we run daily. The is the only site i get them at.

Hmmm... that is strange. Could you please let me know which ads are coming up for you within a timeframe of 24 hours? I can then contact the ad network and see if it's from them and complain about it.

Compared to the deluge of popups on other sites, the popup system here is a pleasure. Popups a pleasure???...a sentence I never thought I'd utter..better up the meds...LOL!

Still more than 1 per 24. Some are a little annoying. Most just typical ads.

Can you please tell me names of the companies? So that I can check if they're coming from the ad network that we work with?

I get a pop up everytime I log onto TCS at work... It doesn't bother me really I just close it. But when you say one for 24 hours. Do you mean 1 company can pop up everytime you log in, or there is only one time that the pop up will pop? (I hope that question makes sense)

I have gotten new freedom mortgage like 20 times today. But you know, I think it happens because when I am at work I always clear my history, temp internet files and cookies. So thats probably why it pops up each time I don't mind that pop up, at least it's not the kind where you close it and 2 or 3 more keep replacing it!

Deb is right - it's one pop up period. But deleting your cookies will make them pop again...
