OK, I know now that Romeo is on the mend, because he's tearing up my carpet under the doorframe trying to get out of quarantine!! And yowling at all hours - he's such a lap cat I know it's because he's lonely.

His course of antibiotics is almost up (I think I have enough for one or two more doses) and his ears are noticeably healthier. I haven't seen any more live fleas on him in all his brushings, but I'm planning on getting some Frontline or Advantage for Bella anyway, just in case (Romeo of course will get his when he goes for his neuter). SO, should I go ahead and attempt an introduction at this point? I know he'll be happier, hopefully quieter and less destructive.

I do worry a bit about Bella, she's not a dominant cat and Romeo most definitely is a strong personality. But he's here for at least another week or so and I need to preserve my rented property!!

Rica-

If you introduce them, it is always good if they have an alternate escape route. Cat condo's are good. Someplace high where the top kitty can claim the top of the mark and be secure and the message gets across quickly as to who is really in charge! (See and all the time you thought you were in charge!)

Make sure you give lots of yummy treats and attention to both cats as you do the introductions. This way, when they see the ther cat they have happy thoughts (other cat = treats) rather than bad thoughts (other cat = fear).

Let us know how it goes!
