Parrots. let me tell you about Parrots... I spent this morning talking to several about Quaker parrots setting up housekeeping in the power transformer. Too much fun but potentially bad for the birds. Nests are flammable.

Case reports on animal animal hoarder case.

And getting ready to go to a PeTA picnic and meet some of their staff.

Lots of paperwork. I chase more "bullclips" than "bulldogs".

Uh - rain. Wet stuff comes with lightning and thunder. All in equally large quanities. Seen quite a bit the last couple of nights. Don't like to work in it as ketchpoles attract lightning.

Reading posts on the website.

Trying not to have my head explode on overload!

Come on MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am here at work right now, just waiting for the day to be over, I intend to do nithing this evening and sleep all day tomorrow that I can, just 'cause I feel so darn lousy! Sigh, I'm tired, achy and bone-weary, and hub has a migraine! I just took him home after the dr. gave him a nice little "headache go-away" shot, lol, also makes Charlie go away too for a few hours!

For some reason, this week went quickly. Its payday, the temp has come down and so have gas prices. On top of that - its payday!

What an exhausting week! My job keeps changing by the minute and there never seems to be an end to the twists and turns. TGIF!

Well, finally some things in my life are working out. My probation ends next week at work, my insurance check for the basement flood I had a number of months ago is finally getting sent to us, and we may also have a new car by the end of next week!

Hope everyone has a relaxing Friday night and an enjoyable weekend ahead!

Thank Goodness it's Friday...even though it's my Thursday at work! Luckily, I have to work tomorrow & I'm off on Sunday. It's been a pretty tiresome week, so I can't wait until it's over. Overall, it wasn't that bad...it's been worse!

Today I was in a weird mood & out of the blue I decided to get my ears pierced! I already have one set in each ear but I've always wanted another one, but I'm such a wimp when it comes to pain. After debating for over an hour, I said...What the heck! It didn't hurt as bad as what I thought, but it was uncomfortable. They're a little tender tonight & are trobbing a bit. I'm sure I can handle it though!

Other than that...that's my excitement for the day! LOL!
Hope everyone had a great Friday & a great weekend also!

Jake lent his stupid brother $300 to bail him out.
And he was at court all day waiting for him - when he could have been doing what needs to be done. He is peed off about it and I don't blame him.

As for me, I painted all day, and HOPEFULLY, should be finished by tomorrow! Yay! Then I get paid!

Went to get some stuff that we needed and I got my much-wanted Dukes of Hazzard First Season DVD! Yehawww! I

Technically, its Saturday, but I had a lovely Friday. I went to the Niagara Flower and Garden Show in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Its at the Niagara Botanical gardens. They have small tents set up for vendors, and then two big tenst for guest speakers and demonstrations. So there are two speakers on all the time, one hour talks each. And the vendors are so much fun - garden tools, herbal potions, artwork, garden sculpture, plant societies (like the rose society, the daylily society) and lots of garden centres and growers. It was so much fun! I spent the entire day there, 10 am until about 6 pm. I had no idea it was all out of doors, and was glad that I thought to take sunscreen. This was my first really long day out of doors, and now I have a bit of colour. And came home with a few really lovely and unusual plants for the garden.

I just want more and more flower beds so I can fill them with all of the wonderful and exotic things I saw there.

Could you send some of this rain over our way??? we are in desperate need of rain!!! major droughts and water restrictions for a long time now...

I was so glad when friday came around... on monday this company called me saying they needed some more jobs done and since I am still going for this major contract with them (which I think I have mentioned before) - I was thrilled with the opportunity until they said they needed it by friday - well its hard to explain but part of my business is writing these reports - I can usually do about 10 a week... but they needed 25!!!

anyway after hardly any sleep all week - working 7am to 1am days all week - I presented them at 1pm on Friday with all 25 reports completed, printed and bound
ahhhhhhhhh what a relief - so this weekend is RELAXING - thats why I am in on a saturday night

I LOVE weekends

Sorry you're having problems with droughts, but maybe I should have made something more clear. We aren't just getting too much rain here, we're getting a lot of violent thunderstorms. Last night (Friday) we had another thunderstorm, and this storm was producing tornadoes. According to my local newspaper, in my area alone which is southern Minnesota, there were at least 6 (maybe more) tornadoes, fortunately, no one was injured. So if you don't mind getting some really violent weather, I'll be more than happy to send it your way.

hmmm let me think about it - violent thunderstorms and rain - or no rain at all???? hmmmmm think I will take the thunderstorms
having said that this is because tornados dont frequent this part of the world

The drought we are having is just amazing - in the country areas of my state Victoria they have been in a drought mode for many many years - but for the past 2 years we have been through a suburbian drought - I live in a city and for us to be on water restrictions is basically unheard of. We are on stage 2 restrictions (with 1 being the least - and 5 being the worst) and have been for about 10 months now. We so need the rain. Unfortunatly the rain we have been getting hasnt been hitting any of the catchment areas so thats quite frustrating... so I want it to rain all winter (with the exceptions of the weekends)

I lived in South Dakota for 18 months about 10 years ago - and I sooo know what those tornados are like!!! Glad to hear no one was injured
