Just when I was beginning to think I would be pregnant for the next18 years, Logan Allen shows up. He was born 9-13 at 9:20 pm, weighing in at 8lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. All he wants to do is nurse. As soon as I get the pics back I'll post them.

The birth of this child was my worst yet. I started contracting at 8:30 Weds. night. They were 8 minutes apart. They stayed that way all night. luckily they weren't very strong. At noon thursday I had had enough and called the dr. I got to the hospital at 3, I was 4 cm dilated. By 8 I was still only 5 cm dilated. they decided to break my water at 8:30, within 2 contractions I was 8 cm. No time for any pain relief they thought. I got up to 9 cm fairly quick. But got stuck at 9 and 1/2. Shortly before that they gave me a smigdeon of stadol, but not enough to do any thing. He ended Up coming out sideways and his heart rate dropped so much they needed to use a vacuum. This is my third baby and I had my first episiotomy, ouch. Plus mostly natural, and with a sideways head. I'll think twice before wanting anymore.

Congrats on the new baby! Sorry about the difficult birth. I know from experience how those episiotomies can hurt! Both my kids had giant heads, ouch! But I'm glad to hear your little guy is here and is doing well. This is the kind of news we need around here.

Congratulations, and now the hard part begins! Your labor story brought back memories. Glad I'm done with that stuff.

Guess you'll be posting a lot during sleepless nights!
