I was going to finish off painting this house. But now it is raining so I am stuck

What I do is play my PS2 game, or read a book, or do some scrapbooking.
But then again, I need to buy some ink so I can print my photos of my son to scrapbook. Grrr.
I also read ghost stories online at this website that I sooo love (shadowlands)

I write...like a madwoman...and try to catch up on all of the thoughts that my day job doesn't allow me to entertain! (anything from poetry, screenplays, journal writing, to novel that has been in the works for past 6 months.)

I also do a lot of crafts...when I go to the bookstore I usually pick up little craft idea books and when I am stuck at home go through the books and take the ideas and turn them into my own...it is always fun to do.

I am taking a couple of vacation days off from work. Since it rained all last night and it's still damp and rainy this morning, I'm going shopping for some new clothes,
and afterward I will catch up on some cleaning around the house.

I am home all the time
My daughter is disabled so I had to find some way to take care of her and work at the same time. I used to teach German (and English, but only 1 class of it), but my daughter's health got worse a few years ago and she was in the hospital more than she was out...so I quit teaching and decided to take my hobby and make it a business.

I am a web designer and quite respected in the field now, too. I have speaking engagements and write articles and such. I can work in my jammies when my daughter is in school or in bed and when she's not, I'm here for here
I can take my laptop with me to the hospital and work from there, too. When I'm unable to work at all, my partner (Englishman in Hong Kong) can cover for me.

That's what I do at home

Hmmm...When I'm looking after me, I'm reading, playing with kitties, messing around on the computer (and THAT covers a lot of territory!), cooking. Otherwise, I have a list as long as your arm of the stuff that I SHOULD be doing
and one of these days I may actually get around to some of it.

DiMa, it's great that you've been able to turn your hobby into a job and be there for your daughter.

I generally read a book, or go online (and do more reading). Sometimes I'll go through my video/DVD collection and watch something that appeals to me. I'm never bored as long as I have some good books.

Yes I hear you and for me it is better I don't even look at my list , it looks like there is never a ending to it .

When it's bad outside and I'm off work, I either usually clean house, or if that's done(yeah right like that's ever done!) then I catch up on TV time, or I sit on the computer. usually i get really bored really fast. I have to do something all of the time or I get bored, I don't know why.

If the buses are running, I will go to the mall. If they aren't, I catch up on housecleaning and work on the computer. That includes messageboards, games (mah jongg is my favorite), editing pictures.

There's alway something I need to do around the apartment...like the never ending laundry pile. (I think I may have a bit of a problem I really hate it if there are dishes in the sink or clothes that are dirty or not put away.) Other than that I play with cats, read, do homework, watch TV/DVD/Videos, or play on the net.

Bored?
Never! I don't think I've ever been bored in my life. Well, except in some committee meetings or sitting in a boring class. But certainly not at home! I could live to be as old as Methusula and never run out of things I want to do.

I'm retired. But after I lost my husband a year ago, I found that I only watched a total of about one hour of television in the first two months. So I had my cable disconnected. So for the past 10 months, I haven't even had television. (Actually, we didn't have television the first 37 years of our marriage, either. I only got it after my husband had a stroke and couldn't do much of anything else.) Too many other things to do. Like sewing, yard work, checking things out on the computer. There is always housework, too, but I don't do any more of that than I have to.

I tend to sleep in! (That's IF my kitties LET me sleep in!
) I tend to read, watch movies, clean apt, play with kitties, surf online here and chat with some friends... Sometimes if my budget allows, I go shopping!

Last week I took a couple days off and MAN, it was NICE!
Slept in, watched some of my DVD's of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I have all 6 seasons and am waiting for the final season DVD) and played with cats. Wished I could've stayed home longer! Grin.

If I'm home 'cause its a regular off day from work, I'm usually cleaning, sewing, reading, computing (after sleeping in), If I'm off a day for any other reason, I'm too darn sick to do anything or even care about anything!

Well, my house is way too big for me and Miikka alone so I usually spend one whole day cleaning and organizing and doing yard work (I am a neat freak).
On my second day off I usually get groceries and catch up on things like computers, bills, and lastly if I have time I head out on my bike...
I really need more time to myself.

It is very interesting to read what every one is doing when they have time to do something for themselfs . I come to see , even though we have time for our selfs , we still spent it on other things like house work ect . Hmmmm ???? I thought house work and cleaning the house is a real bad word

I work on my scrapbooks, make jewelry or bug everyone on thecatsite! Also like to lay on the sofa and read or watch a good movie. I don't do a lot of cleaning when it's raining and gloomy out. I am usually so tired and have no energy when it's rainy!
