It's gorgeous! What a nice, relaxing place to sit and have a glass of iced tea in the summer! Your Mike is such a sweetie for always doing stuff like this for you!

Beautiful! Now I miss our old screened in front porch. I don't even have a balcony on the apartment.

Hedi, I love your porch, and you're lucky to have a husband who's so good at building things.

BTW, I can't relax outside here this morning because we're getting more rainy
weather, so Snowball and I will be at your house in just a few minutes. I hope you have enough lawn furniture!

P.S. I'd like a diet pepsi, and Snowball will want a bowl of fresh water!
See you soon!!!!

Wow that's beautiful!
I love all the flowers. It's absolutely gorgeous. I am having porch envy! My "porch" (aka balcony on my apartment building) gives me a wonderful view of tall buildings. And smog....

You're one lucky duck!

Gartenzwerge - wie in Deutschland, LOL! I envy you your porch - it looks terrific. I grew up in a house with a huge porch out front, and really miss it. A balcony just isn't the same thing.

Heidi, Thinking about your tree..might be a Rose of Sharon. They can be either shrubs or trees. They are members of the hibiscus family, and usually attract a lot of small insects, like beetles and bees. Snip off a bloom and leaf and bring it to your garden center, since I'm not sure. It is just lovely though!
