Congratulations Tampa Bay

Stanley Cup 2004 winners.
Being a Calgary guy I hate to see the cup not coming home, but Tampa played a really great series and they really deserved it.

I have to say, I was rooting for Calgary since I always like seeing whatever team knocks mine out go all the way....but it really was a great series for the Cup, and I always like seeing evenly matched teams playing their hearts out. Congrats Tampa!

Yup, WTG Lightning! It was a great series, a nail biter all the way. I had earlier thought that if we got by Philly, it would be an easy ride. Boy, was I wrong. Calgary and Tampa Bay were very evenly matched. I've been going to games for about 10 years now. It is strange to see all the bandwagon fans, as obviously, Tampa isn't a huge hockey town. Or should say 'wasn't'?

Yeah, Heidi, first the Bucs and now this. I am not holding my breath over the Devil Rays, though. I can't stand them.

Well I was rooting for Calgary, but I have to admit it was a great series overall and there were so many games I was sitting on the edge of my seat for and I love that!!! Tampa played great and who knows. . .every hockey town had to start somewhere, right? So I hope some of those bandwagon fans turn into real fans and support the Bolts all through the next season.

The Tampa Tribune made the ultimate goof and published the WRONG editorial in today's paper, citing how the Lightning lost!

Well being Canadian I was really hoping Calgary would win and bring the Cup home. I was pretty sad. But yes, congratulations to the Bolts. It was nice to see Vincent Lecavalier with the Cup. He definitely deserves it.

If it had been another American team (or Toronto) playing Tampa I would've been cheering for Tampa... I kind of like them and I really like their players. Plus they joined the League the same time my team did so I kind of feel a little "connection" there.
