I have had him for 5 years, and have been extremely alleregic to him since the beginning, with a side of severe asthma, I loved him off and refused to give him away, but now time has come to give him to a family that can actually play with him instead of keeping the distance. I am not that well-off to invest in medicine for myself, and I am moving to dormotories on-site campus and no animals are allowed. I will give you a good carriar, food dispensers, and the litter box (if you need). He is neutered, has had all his shots, and all shots have been renewed every year. Sad thing is he is declawed, and my options are really running low.

If anyone can take this sweet cat into a sweet home, I would really appreciate it! I would like to visit him if possible, he is a male, and am not sure how he will react with other cats, anyone who does take him in, please do not abandon him the way I am right now, my situation is a very awkward one.

Please PM me here. If this is the wrong forum please excuse me and if the moderators could move it to where it is.

For pictures of him:

This must be so hard for you to do
I wish I was nearby I would take Rocky
I am wishing you the very best of luck in finding a good home where you can visit him. I think it's wonderful that you have kept him and loved and cared for him as best you could for the time he has been with you, even though you have allergies.

I too wish I lived closer - he looks adorable, I just love a cat who will show his belly!

The cat has been neutered and everything. I have only offered him free here on TheCatSite boards, because it is full of cat lovers.

Anyone that will take him at all and would help me transport him to you I would allow. I would trust anyone on TheCatSite you all seem to be cat-loving people.

Charge a fee. Even a fee as small as $20...just to deter people who are looking for 'free' animals to sell to research.

I can do that...but priority is to find him a home.

Edit:
The thing is if I don't find a home I have to submit him to the shelter.

Sorry, I'm just seeing your post now. What area of Toronto are you located? I think your best bet in placing your cat is through one of the vet offices.

Here's the listings of vet offices in and around the Toronto area:

Toronto Vets

I would make up an ad with a picture and ask if you can post it on the public message boards in various vet offices. I would normally give you listings of Toronto cat rescues but they are to capacity right now and wouldn't see your case as an emergency because your cat already is in a home. Especially now with kitten season and dealing with placing and helping feral cats, Toronto cat rescues are overflowing.

Hope everything works out for you and your cat.
