Please indulge me on this one. The dog lovers out there will understand. Sam and Spike just turned 7 months old a few days ago. I adopted Sam at 8 weeks and 11 pounds, and he has grown into a very handsome 55 pound puppy! You can see how gorgeous he will be when fully grown (and no, I'm not biased at all)! Spike is totally unphotogenic, as he is a black dog so sorry, no photo that you wouldn't laugh at!

Here is Sam:

Sam and Spike are very happy dogs - both smile all the time! I love my boys, but I have to give most of the credit to my husband, who calls himself the dogboy (and I the catlady). Sam is clearly Steve's dog but Spike is clearly mine.

At their last visit, the vet thought that Sam would top out at about 65-70 pounds, so unless he slows down soon, he could be closer to 80. That's OK, except when they both try to sit in my lap at the same time (110 pounds of dog sitting on me, licking my face and wiggling their bodies)! LOL

So far out in left field I got lost
What a handsome baby
He is as big as Dakota, who weighed in at 60lbs last week. They sure do grow fast don't they? I would love to see Spike's picture too
I know what you mean about their sizes
The vet has told me that he thinks Dakota will level off around 100lbs.

Beautiful baby just beautiful

Here's my little (54 pound) Spike. I call him "Spike-ums". I warned you that he isn't really photogenic!! He and Sam are littermates. I know, you couldn't tell it by there pictures!

They are inseparable. The only toy they need is one that is large enough for them to share - they always need to chew on either end of a toy together.

They grab a stick in the yard and each one will grab one end as they prance around the yard. I need to get a picture of that one time - they are so cute as you see their little butts wiggle in unison as they carry their stick off.

Thank you Hedi! I'm not biased at all towards them - they are such sweet, happy guys with the cutest little butt wiggle when they haven't seen you in say 5 minutes! LOL

Momofmany, Oh I will totally indulge you with Sam's pic. Before I adopted my kitties, I had two dogs, Jack and Scruffy, that I had for 17 years. Needless to say, they were my babies. I love all animals, and always love to see people's pets. He's a beauty. Are Spike and Sam from the same litter?

Awwww Spike is adorable too
I love his shiny black coat. I guess you can say I'm a little bias about black animals, since all of my babies have black somewhere on their bodies, even Nakita who would be considered a calico with her red, white and charcol colors.
