I love your Simba pics! He looks just like my Catloaf, but I can never get such good photos of his face, it usually just comes out black, with red eyes! Actually, I've gotten a little better, natural lighting seems best for photographing the meezer. Any tips for capturing their expressive little faces?

BWAH! *saves walmart bag image*.. that's the cutest thing.. the most paige does with a walmart bag is hide her stuffed animals in. and occasionally a parachute.
Certainly a beauty, that kitty

The Walmart photo is hilarious! Handsome boy!

Here are my 2 meezers, Razp(y)utin and Sasha. Sasha is a snowshoe, and Razpy is a 'reverse' meezer: chocolate brown with white toes in the front. (His littermate looked like a normal chocolate point!) Razpy had been home for abt 2 weeks in the first photo.
Sasha thinks he is a pest, both then and now!

Hey,

Your cat is beautiful, but I can't help but notice that she looks more like a Birman than a siamese. I decided to attach a picture of both breeds to show you the difference.

This breed is a siamese

This breed is a Birman

I know many people who think they have one breed when they really have another. If a breeder told you that she is siamese, then she is very heavy for here structure. Many skinny Birman's look like siamese, but if you analize their bone structure you can tell the difference between the two breeds. The coloring of these two particular cats are very similar and Birman's are known to have blue eyes like siamese also.

Nonetheless you have a beautiful cat!

The older form of the Siamese breed does not have the 'wedgie' head which has become popular in recent years. They refer to them as 'apple-headed'; that's what Simba appears to be.

You're right Lucia-Simba is the traditional Applehead.

I believe that Miura may actually be a Tonkinese, not a Siamese. While the Tonkinese is very similar in body shape to the traditional Siamese (The Tonk tends a little more to "cobby" but not much), I believe the giveaway is the eyes, the mink phenotype (A mix of the recessive genes for sepia and pointed coloration) tends to produce light blue or aqua colored eyes and the pointed phenotype shows up as deep, sapphire blue eyes. The Traditional Siamese generally only comes in the pointed variety, while the Tonk traditionaly comes in mink (but also as sepia and pointed). However, full adult coloration in both the coat and eyes takes some time to develop, so it is difficult to say without seeing her parents. When she is full grown, if her eyes stay the same, light blue, then she is probably a Tonkinese (very few "random bred" cats show the mink coloration), if they develop into a deeper blue than she shows Siamese ancestry.
