help with cat's urine smell

Could someone please help me with one of my cats? All of a sudden his urine smells like pure ammonia. Does anyone know what this means? I have looked all over the internet and can not find an answer as to what this might mean. It is so strong now that it actually burns my eyes when I clean the litter box. He has never been like this before and I am worried. What should I do?

Please take your cat to the vet. Strong urine smell is usually indicative of a health issue like an UTI. It is best to get the cat checked out first before looking at perhaps the diet you are feeding the cat.
