How can I check to see how many posts I have besides having to make fluff posts, or backtrack all over the place to see what my post count is at?

I can't tell you guys how many times I've wanted to post but the restrictions keep me from doing so.

Waaay too frustrating!

I read the stuck post in there. I dont need it explained to me again. I dont know how many posts I have on the forum and sure, I'll get enough eventually, but more of what I want to discuss is restricted. It's a shame I have to go to other forums for discussions happening here now. By the time I have enough posts many topics will be dead, or maybe locked - or simply outdated.

.....

Okay, so now you've seen my first semi-rant.

Enjoy, it doesn't happen often!

Yeah well its there for a reason. To stop trolls from stopping in to mess us up, and to keep people from creating alternate S/Ns just to post in the IMO area. Rules are rules, and theres not much you can do about it now. Besides, you'll be at the requirements soon enough.

Peace,
Brandon

Hey Flea,
You can check the number of posts you have by going to the Members link, and searching for your username. The count number is listed right after your name. There is also the option of searching for your posts and looking at any of them to see the post count, as it is updated globally. Hope that helps.

You can also check to see how many posts by looking at a previous post. It's in the upper right hand corner along with the date you joined & your location.

Shell is right, Flea. Your post count is staring you in face on every post you make. You have 39 to go. Sorry we had to become restrictive with IMO, but we were having a lot of trouble with people joining just to flame others in there.

There is also no rule against PMing people...least not that I know.

Even if you can't post publically, you can take it private.

At least I will always welcome private conversation on a topic, especially some of the more controversial ones.

Unfortunately, these policies have been implemented in response to less than respectful posters (trolls - although some of them give trolls a bad name) or those that have not yet had time to understand the issues and how they can be addressed properly on the board. I suffered a "loss of posting count" when a thread that I had very actively participated in was lost through a technical faux pas. So, I feel your pain! As was mentioned, feel free to PM the thread poster(s). You can send multiple PMs. Kind of like IMO - lite ! Otherwise, read more threads, post more replies. When I looked, you were around 60something. There are lots of other threads and topics on the board that you can focus some attention on thereby adding to your CSIQ (Cat-Site-Involvement-Quotient) and soon you will be able to rant and rave (within the limits of retracted claws guidelines) till your fingers go numb from the typing.
