Hey!

Hi I am new to TheCatSite.com. My cat is about 5 years old, not sure which breed. I have had him for 5 years, and I am allergic to him but I love him lots

I found this site while searching for a way to get my cat to a healthy weight, I hope to stick around!

Those medications tend to be expensive, my doctor did not suggest any medications she advised me to find a new owner.

Well, I would advise you to find a new Dr. There are a lot of us who are allergic to our cats, and there are a lot of ways that we deal with it.

Welcome to the site! I remember back when I got Dori I started having allergies and my doctor said, and I quote, "Cats are better than people, We will find something that works, because the cat can't move out". My boyfriend wanted to get rid of her if I was allergic, I told my doctor that and he said get rid of the boyfriend Turns out I wasn't really allergic and bf and cat are still around But, I know there are things that can be done that will allow you to spend time with kitty and not have the symptoms.
