we get the british antique roadshow on cable - I just love that show!!!

and jamie oliver...

actually having mentioned cable - we actually have 2 channels dedicated to UK TV - now granted I dont watch some of these but the list consists of things such as coronation street, east enders, the bill.
There are a whole heap more on there but I dont recognise any of them.

One of the reasons I got a dvd player was so I could get copies of the BBC tv series. I love love love "The Office".

We have also seen, on regular network tv, in Canada, over the years,
Absolutely Fabulous
Mr. Bean
Blackadder
The Vicar of Dibley
As Time Goes By
Are you being Served
Till Death do us Part
Some Mothers do 'ave 'em
Yes Minister
Fawlty Towers
Monty Python
Keeping up Appearances

and one I remember from years ago which starred Geoffrey Palmer as the older husband of a younger woman, with two teenage boys, Butterflies? something like that.

Of course Coronation Street (except that we are month and months behind...but its my secret addiction).

I own the complete series of Ab Fab, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, The Office (although still waiting for the specials to come out on DVD), and I want to get The Vicar of Dibley.

Oh, right, we used to get Benny Hill, and The Two Ronnies. That's where we learned what the British sense of humour was all about.

The ex was hopelessly devoted to Brit-coms, and I let him keep most of the collection. He's mad about "The Office" and also has "Father Ted" and "The Royle Family" on DVD as well as others I can't even remember now. (tho at the time I'd seen them so many times I thought I couldn't forget them - he tended to be a bit obsessive in his viewing. He even bought a $400 multi-regional DVD player just so he could order direct from Amazon UK without having to convert) The Fast Show!! That's the one I was trying to think of - he thought it was absolutely brilliant.

I thoroughly enjoy British TV but I can't afford cable at the moment, so I must satisfy myself w/PBS reruns of Waiting for God, . . .Served and the like. Not the cream of the crop I know, but enough to keep me happy for now.

We still get Mr. Bean and Black Adder here, and used to get the old Monty Python and Fawlty Towers. What I used to love was Spitting Image. That show was great. And there was a series about a Scottish medical examiner - I can't remember the name, but the star was in "Two (Three?) Weddings and a Funeral" and "Hurricane" - that I used to watch. Does anybody remember the "Poldark" miniseries, or the one about George Sand?

Puerto Rico... land of rice and beans.
Well, I do get BBC America, but as mentioned previously that's decorations shows and such.

On the web, via my PC I watch a lot BBC News and listen to BBC Radio.

On my radio I listen all the time to the BBC Latin American Service.
