Sure, they treat you better - they are trying to get your attention!
I know because I used to dress to thrill too. I loved it! I loved the attention. I loved being looked at. I loved getting attention from bands especially (I dressed like that going to bars with live bands and to concerts mainly). But being honest, they didn't respect me. They wanted one thing, which I was in control of. HA! A few of them may have respected me after they got to know me, I'm not short on brains either. But some didn't. Who cares? Honestly I wasn't dressing like that to get respect, I was dressed like that to get noticed. Mission was accomplished.
Staci, women are catty. Men are dawgs. Men will look and women will get mad. That's how it works. Men don't respect women for looking like that, though. They will pay attention to you, they will be courteous, but they don't automatically respect you. If nothing else it's the opposite because of what it makes them think of.
I don't have a problem with people who can dress like that dressing like that. I did it, it was fun. What I have more of a problem with is people who really can't pull it off, trying to anyway. Good for them that they have a good self-image, but be realistic people! Rolls of fat are not sexy on ANYONE! Please cover them! I do!!
Back to Britney...She's got the body to be able to wear whatever she wants. She looks good in those outfits, and if she wants to look a bit trashy then she can. Her perogative. And it's China's perogative to say she can't wear that in their country.
She didn't sign up to be a role model, she's an entertainer. Yeah, I think it sux that young girls are trying to be like her, dress like her, etc. Maybe that's where good role models and parenting comes in. Maybe that's just me. I was a Heavy Metal 80s chick. I dressed the part, heck you could say I lived the part. Sans drugs. even though that was a pretty big part of the 80s metal scene. Didn't want to, because I had good upbringing and a strong sense of self going into my teens.
