and other ways to honor NFCD by e-mailing [email protected]. Lay the
groundwork now for special community events to make this NFCD an even
greater success at spreading the word about Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as
the only effective, nonlethal feline population control method.
Remember, NFCD is one special day:
To educate animal control officers, shelter professionals, and public
officials who have not yet learned about TNR.
To explain nonlethal control to members of your community who do not
know the severity of feline overpopulation or the solution to it, but
they know they don't want the cats killed.
To start long-term programs in your area that will have a real impact
on humanely reducing feline overpopulation and improving life for feral
cats.
To proclaim to all communities that TNR works.
Orders must be placed as soon as possible, but no later than June 15.
