Not yet I have to call them in 20 minutes to see. Dang it I had to leave him there
We have a deadline here at the office, so I needed to get in here. Watching the clock now.

Oh that is great news! Just read the thread and was very concerned. Sprains, though they may be "better" than breaks, can be stubborn to heal. Just when he thinks he's feeling good he might re-injure or re-strain it and then it's a bit of a setback. Sasha had a strain a couple of years ago that took 8-12 weeks to finally go away. He seemed great after awhile and no limping....then came home one day and was limping again. It took the better part of the summer for it to heal completely. But good news! Good job Dakota!

I have Dakota at home and medicated as directed. Wow can you beleive that he has gained 8.5 lbs in one month. He is now right at 60lbs and growing. He's gonna be a big ole boy

There's no place like home
Yippee Cathi!! If you find he can't control his puppy enthusiasm, you might talk to your vet about wrapping his leg to decrease his mobility. My greyhound Tyler had a cast on for close to a year after surgery and while he didn't like it and wanted to chew it off, they have stretchy socks that you can put over bandages to hold the wrapping in place. The key is keeping it immobile while it heals itself.

Dakota is having to take Rimadyl, which is the same medication that Nakita is on. I got to save a little bit of money today because I already had this medication at the house.
I can't take him walking for at least 5-7 days. So our little 2 mile walks are out for now
I'm just so glad that his leg wasn't broken

Hey that's okay
This is a cat site and I for one think of cat first when I read a post, so no biggie
Dakota is doing well today he was up walking around a little while ago. The medication I am giving him seems be keeping his pain under control. I just will have to watch the big goof so he doesn't run and injure it worse.

I am sure Dakota will forgive you not taking him for your walk every day . I am sure it will be hard on you to look at his face and to say no I can't take you with me
.
But I am so happy that he is ok
