A TCS Lawn Party????

I am SURE this has been suggested before, but wouldn't it be just a rockin' great time if everyone on TCS met in the middle of someplace like, say, Missouri, or Wisconsin, or Australia to have a huge lawn party and swoon over all our kitties? Wouldn't that be GRAND? What we need is a football field someplace warm and inviting this summer to congregate, have a whopping cool barbeque and talk cats to each other. That would be FUN! In fact, so very fun that if anyone is interested ya'll can have my own backyard in Maple Valley and we can dance the night away and purr at the moon. I am so serious! -- So?

I live in Canada eh?

So I'm out but there was a thread on here awhile ago where some people took a virtual tour through places pretending they were on a trip and would talk about the things they were going to do together that day...

I'm pretty sure I saw something like that awhile ago?

That would surely be interesting... and disturbing...

Actually it is Anne and my dream to have a TCS convention one day. With guest speakers, and a cat show to attend, just one big party/informational weekend somewhere centralized so that as many people as possible can attend. Other than that, what happened on one board I belong to is everyone picked a date long enough in the furture to be able to plan it- there were about 6 locations throughout the united states, and on that day, a bunch of members got together in each location for a picnic and horse rides. It was a horse board. There was a designated secretary to record the events of the day, as well as designated photographers. Then the notes and the photos were posted on the board and those who couldn't attend got to see what they missed. It was great fun!

Oh this would be splendid! What I would give for a few days with all my lovely TCS friends!

Sooo kind of like a car meet (those are fun!) but with cats... I can always bring my car too

I knew a couple gambling forum websites, that went to a party at Las Vegas! Most of them went there, when they got home they posted the pictures of the member who went to Las Vegas. They said, it was fun, they meet each other, they meet those people who they have been arguing with in the forum, and they become nice friends

Puerto Rico is too far well its off the main land anyway. I say come over to the lovely west. Arizona, Cali, Utah. Northwest is cool too. What is our member distribution? More on the east/west?

YEAH TEAM!! I knew Hissy would probably know. Since we all can't bring our kitties I had this vision of taking big photos of your cats and then sticking them to your T-shirt or whatever, like "HI. My name is Elizabeth and my kid is Sasha!" And I think it's a realistic idea if, as suggested, it's way in advance, maybe regional all on the same day so we could hook up by cell/photo phone and send pix to the other regions. I could see that! So in the future, COUNT ME IN!! I will do whatever it takes to help.

I mean it! My lawn in Maple Valley can hold a lot and as Stephanie says her place in Emerald Isle w/Sierra, I bet is gorgeous! How cool is it that we have all these places where kitties live and are loved! Leave it to the Aussies to bring the kitten glop and I'll supply the buns!!!

If we could do a mini-convention in the UK in September I'd be able to attend.
A trans-atlantic flight with the kids would be a bit too much at the moment.

We have members all over the globe. I would say about 80%-90% are in the USA.

I didn't mean to bring our cats, I meant ideally we would like to have it near an actual sanctioned cat show somewhere.

So good! Good idea! No thing in Norway? I wuld need to have plane!
