I am biting my tongue as I write this - my mother in law (yeah, the awful woman) was involved in a motorcycle accident and broke both her hips and some ribs and goodness knows what other injuries. We are trying to find out.

I am not trying to be like her, but if you all could extend a prayer to her, it would be good, she needs them.

Thanks.

Sending positive healing vibes to your mother in law.

FYI: I think that sometimes when something very serious or even life threatening happens to a person, it causes them to realize what is really important in life and it changes their attitude for the better. For example, I noticed a definite change in my parents' attitude after my dad had a heart attack and had to have a double bypass.

Your mother in law is in my prayers, along with the rest of the family.
I pray that there aren't any permanent injuries and that she has a speedy recovery.

What Lori said is 100% true. I have seen this in the case of a few of my family members. Unfortunately sometimes it takes a wake-up call for a person to change their ways.

Kellye, that you are even asking for prayers shows you are definitely not being like her (if I may be so bold as to say that....)

She'll be in my thoughts.... :grphugs: to you and Jake.

Sad but true.

My Dad and his family had a fallout about 12 years ago. In that time he NEVER saw his parents or brother, until he was contacted two months ago. He learned his brother had lung cancer.

Dad and his brother were reunited, but many years too late. On the 13th of this month Rick passed away.

Jake has gone to ask his dad for any news, since she has completely disowned him. I hope that she will see the error of her ways, but if not, then thats her choice - I am not going to force her.

But the good news is, his grandmother is looking for him and wants to get in touch with him. So while his mother is unable to manipulate anyone, it will be a good time to contact her.
