Yesterday when my husband came home from work-he forgot he can't park in gargage until Tommy is put in kennel(a.k.a. Cat prison) and he "ran" as fast as his three legs would go. He was happy squirting on the shrubs (don't think he knows he's been neutered) laid under a tree for a bit, checked out the woodpile and wandered to vegetable garden to nibble on catnip. My hubby was glad to see me arrive home so I could get him from the garden-he was laying down (drugged from all that catnip I guess!) and haul him back to garage. Now its a battle to open any door since he want's to go back outside-it hasn't even been a week since surgery!!! I guess I never thought how I'm going to handle this!! Any ideas to let him be outside (a harness??) but so I don't have to worry hunting around for him???

Do you own or rent? If you own or have a very nice landlord, perhaps you could built a kitty run so Tommy can be outside but still safe? You could certainly try harness training Tommy, that would work too.

Oh Tommy sounds delightful. I've never tried harnessing myself, but it sounds like a good idea. Perhaps you could talk to Cathi(Blondiecat) about harness training because I know she takes her cats out on a harness.
