help..4 week old abandoned kittens

A friend just called me. They found a box with 5 kittens in it, that they are guessing are around 4 weeks old. There is no mom cat. What can they do to save these kittens? What do they need? Can they eat, do they need kmr?? Any advice would be very much appreciated.
