From tomorrow night at 4.45 p.m. i wont be on the site for "4" days(she screams).

We have a holiday in the UK on monday and we have tuesday off as well where i work.

What am i going to do without you all?.

I dread to think about the 2 weeks in the summer

I need a lap top. The thing is i could have had my own pc from work because we purchased a new computer system, but i turned it down as i only want something small.

Aaaaaaaaargh thats my moan for today!

We are off work on Monday also
But not Tuesday, you lucky little thing
We are going to miss you also Susan
I have no idea how well this works, or the cost..... but you can get something that connects to your tv and your can surf the web. A friend of mine had it, theres a keyboard that connects to the tv wirelessly and uses a dial-up connection. I am sure this is much cheaper than a computer... if that is even an issue. Granted, it's dial up so it's slow, but I guess it would be better than no communication with the real world (TCS)
Just something I was thinking, so I though I would share.

Rosiemac, you can always check on E-bay for a cheapie laptop. Just be careful and know what you're looking for. Maybe you need to get up with your computer geek coworkers and have them help you with the purchase of a cheap laptop or desktop computer.

I don't think it's sad at all. You know, I used to only checkout the site when I was at work, and now I check it all weekend and evenings as well. I have no life
I plan on shopping for a new laptop myself here in the next few months. I was checking out Dell and Gateway's web sites yesterday and the prices seem to have gone up within the last few months

Not sad in the least, Susan! I can't get away from this place! I tell you, I would need some sort of a 12 step program if I was to ever attempt to quit visiting TCS!
Oh how will miss you for FOUR whole days!!
Wow, you've just got to do something by summer!

If you know what you're looking for, you can often get a good deal from the classified listings in your local newspaper. Get help from a fellow geek, or get him or her to go with you before you make the transaction.

Oh, this is a must. If you are not computer saavy I would absolutely mke sure you have someone go with you before purchasing a computer. I am good at using them, but all the technical mumbo-jumbo that comes up when buying them I am clueless on. Luckily my bf is a computer techie so he takes care of it all.

Look at this as extra quality time with your babies. Spend a lot of time with them, playing new games and such, teach Sophie to play hide and seek and then when you get back you will have so much to tell us

See, there ya go. Just keep busy and trust me, before you know it, you will be back to work!

I can't believe I am encouraging someone to look forward to work!
I don't know that I am comfortable with that.

I bought one of them before I bought my pc. It used to be called a WEBTV. Its gone thru many changes since then. It was about $175 with $23 a month for the server. You can't download anything so I never worried about viruses, but you also couldn't save pictures in a file. Your TV is your monitor. I loved it and sometimes miss it..esp the email function and phone function. If you got a call while surfing, it would disconnect, allow your call to come thru, then redial and go right back to where you were. When you got a new email, a light would blink on the front of the unit! I didn't even have to turn the machine on to see if I had email!

Susan you poor thing!!! TCS is so addictive. You are going to have withdrawal symptoms
But just think of all the fun you will have when you get back, no work is going to get done by you on Tuesday. You are going to have to go and get lap top or something. We will all miss you til Tuesday. Enjoy your weekend.
