Hi all!

We have Three cats who have lived in allmost perfect happyness for the last 4 years. In the last couple on months Sherby has started hissing at Chowder, but not our other cat Bastian. We don't know what is going on.

Any advise or help would be great!

It is hard to say on such scant information. Hissing when? All the time? At food call? More information would be helpful. It could be anything at all. Are the cats spayed/neutered? Any recent trips to the vet, or any illnesses?

He dosen't hiss at him all the time only some times, and he only hisses at chowder (never at our other cat).

Some times it is when they are playing, some times just when chowder gets near him.
I had them neutered over 3 years ago and they haven't been sick or been to the vet, or had any life style changes.

I al at a complete loss to what could be going on.

Guen, it may be that these two boys are curently having issues over who the dominant cat in the household. If Sherby has been vet checked and is healthy, you might want to try a ComfortZone plug-in, which may help to create some harmony in the house. Click here to read about it.

There's no place like home
Any new cats hanging around outside that your babies can see? Have you been around a new cat/dog outside of home? Could one of them have had a mishap in the house when the other was present (that Sherby attributes to Chowder)? Cats typically don't start a new behavior without some type of trigger. Step back, look at precisely when and where the hissing occurs to see if you can find a pattern to the behavior. If you find the pattern, sometimes you can isolate the cause.
