A Cats Prayer

My friend sent me this in an email...it SO cute....!

A CATS PRAYER

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray this cushy life to keep
I pray for toys that look like mice
And sofa cushions, soft and nice

I pray for gourmet kitty snacks
And someone nice to scratch my back
For window sills all warm and bright
For shadows to explore the night

I pray I'll always stay real cool
And keep the secret feline rule
To NEVER tell a human that
The world is really ruled by CATS!

I just got that same poem via email and loved it !!

So I sent it to several people that I know who loves cats
and one of them who has had cats all her life and writes poems
then sent back to me in response to the cats prayer poem, the
below poem.
I really liked her poem too so I would like to share with you.
(I will use my cats name, Prettyboy)

(insert your cats name)
Prettyboy makes a prayer each day
For me to fill his gourmet tray;
And so he goes at peace to sleep
Knowing I his wishes to keep.
Thank you for the cats' good prayer,
Which tell us that they know we're there,
To give them everything they need,
To play, rest safely and to feed.
