Man divorces and sues wife over ugly past

A Chinese man has divorced and sued his wife for £55,000 after discovering she'd had plastic surgery before they met.

Jian Feng, 38, was said to have been "horrified" when she gave birth to an ugly baby daughter. He suspected her of having an affair.

His wife then confessed to having plastic surgery costing £70,000 in South Korea before they met and showed him a picture of how she used to look.

He filed for divorce two years after marrying her following a whirlwind romance.

The Heilongjiang Morning Post said Jian successfully sued for deceit.

I just feel sorry for that woman , it looks to me he just mariage her for looks and not love . This is really sad .

I thought about that in the "The Swan" contest. what happens when these woman have ugly kids? Although all of the women on the Swan are far from ugly even before their plastic surgery. Most of them are just worn down and naturally aging.

My mother gave me this bit of wisdom. "Beauty is only skin deep and after quite a few many years have passed, ugly holds its own".

That is awful and sad. Sad that she felt she needed to get plastic surgery to feel better about herself, sad that he only saw the ugliness and divorced her, and sad that they called the child ugly.

How can a baby be ugly? Come on, all babies are "ugly" in that they look like...babies. Wrinkled, small. They're all cute and beautiful...their big eyes and little noses and mouths... Whether someone likes them or not is subjective, but how are some infants "beautiful" while others are "ugly"?

no-one really grows into their looks until their twenties imo. nice personality and a beautiful smile more than compensates for failing to fit into the beautiful mould. that woman was lucky to get away from him!

I hope the baby grows up to be a famous model, and makes tons of money, and gives her dad nothing cause he said she was ugly.....now that would be Karmically comic

I like and love our daughter dearly and she is a pretty young woman, but I have to tell you - she was a really, really, ugly baby.

You know those pictures they take at the hospital - I was going to bury them. To make matters worse, the guy that took the pictures met my husband and gave us another whole set free! OMG, two sets to bury!

I dont think it's funny. That was HIS daughter! Who cares if she had plastic surgery? That was her business. And sooner or later.. it's going to get to his daughter that her own father thinks she's ugly!

That is a weird story. He should have loved his wife even more after she revealed that. I think he was just looking for an excuse to leave her.

Our daughter is aware that I think she was an ugly baby, in fact after seeing the pictures, she fully agrees! We've been lucky, we all have a good sense of humour and she, as the French say, is very comfortable in her own skin.

She is very close to both her dad and me and we have a lot of fun together, so I wouldn't worry about her seeing this thread.
