Depression


Deep, dark, and empty,

Painful, and with hopes for what will never happen,

A black hole from which there is no exit,

You spend an eternity looking for things that donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t exist,

Depression, so dark and empty,

Horrible and dark,

One long and dark tunnel that has no end in sight,

A black hole from which there is no exit,

Depression, so dark and empty,

It takes over you unceasingly!

She is the most cold-blooded murderer,

For she is the one that kills slowly and with great agony,

And starts with the most sacred and important thing,

Your mind,

Donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t fall so low that you cannot get up!

I know your pain like the palm of my hand,

I have seen it, and suffered it,

I know the assassin in person,

Your pain is one that has no way of being described,

Pure torture it is,

But there is light at the end of the tunnel,

Your pain has an exit,

I have suffered it,

I have even been to where you have not gone,

Donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t despair, my dear,

For as long as you seek help when you need it,

You will not fail.

Excellent poem Victor...and very hopeful, you will return from this my young friend, it takes time and hard work. Sometimes I think poetry was invented for people in love or in great despair!

Thanks for the ovations... nothing big, it just came to my mind and I wrote it up.

A lot, in fact, among my cats, Vicky and a few other things, is what has helped the most.

When you are low, there's nothing better than a purring ball of fur.
