Well I brought him home yesterday from the vets office. Got him situated in his recovery spot in the gargage went outside to talk to my husband. I was not gone longer that a couple minutes and he had jumped out and was almost outside!!! Then he was laying on garage floor crawled under truck-so I got a couple more blankets from house and placed on "his chair" and he settled down. But wanted food dish in his old spot across the gargage from the chair (2 car gargage). I also had moved his litter box but noo he had to go down the steps and poop where the litter box used to be!! What a stubborn animal. Doesn't like taking pills-thankfully only one more dose of pain medicine I think more went on my hand than in his mouth. I bring him back in two weeks for the staples to be removed. I borrowed a large dog carrier-he doesn't like that but when we drive in and out of the garage I'll have to put him in that so we doesn't run out- I think I'll have gray hair by tomorrow. He's quite the handful!! He gets around quite well on the three legs. Still have to talk to neighbor however. I'll let every one know Tommy's doing. Thanks for all the encouraging support!!

Gail...it is WONDERFUL what you did for Tommy. I know it was a financial burden on you...but you are Tommy's angel. Thank you.

Wow, he is a fighter and a survivor! Stubbornly set in his ways, too, apparently.

Thank you so, so much for what you have done for Tommy! He might be a source of frustration during his recuperation, but it sure sounds like it'll have been worth stretching the pocketbook a bit for this special guy.
