Puerto Rico... land of rice and beans.
Puerto Rico is completely under a low pressure system.... it has been pouring endlessly and thunderstorms so severe I have to turn off my PC for all of May.

Just go to www.weather.com and write the zip code of 00725 (That's mine) and you will see the radar... its pouring as I speak and I am freezing cold (hey, Puerto Ricans call freezing 70 degrees).

It has been so severe the rain in the past weeks that there have days where the weather stations in the airports of Aguadilla, Mayagüez, and Ponce have not been able to communicate to give the readings, and even had to close down because of flooded runways.

yesterday the Cagüitas river that crosses my town was starting to get over the safe levels and the state police closed the bridges in town cutting the town in half.

There have been already several Flash Flood warnings from the National Weather service and I ain't surprised if they make another one soon enough. There are already several mayors (particularly the small towns in the central mountains) who are asking the governor to declare a state of emergency for their towns.

Its pouring and thunderstorming as I write these words.

Oh, and btw, if you plan to make any trip on car around PR without going entirely on the expressway don't do it - it will be flooded.

They say that the rains of May can be drinked entirely by a horse. They did not specify how big was that horse.
