My kitten talks to his toys. It's like he's doing roll playing games with all of them. Sort of like how you'll find a little girl talking to all of her dolls. It's really quite adorable. Frodo will take this toy that looks like a little black rat and cuddle it like a kit, and then just purr away at it and meow. Then a second later he has the little rat by his teeth and he's growling. Like the rat said something to upset him. Then he goes back to licking it. Either the poor cat likes to torture his prey and have dinner conversation first before he pretends to eat him...or my cat just loves to talk to everything.
Anyone else out there have talking cats?

I've known a few...they are extra special.

Does he have any particular toy that he seems to talk to more than the others?

Dori talks to me

When I get up in the morning especially. I always talk to her, have done it since she was a little kitten. When I get home from school at night I ask her how her day was and she meows like crazy! I love it! Also when she wants us to come and look at something, she calls us. Her meow sounds like a little kitty conversation. She will go up and down the hallway until we come follow her

This just sounds so cute. My Tulip talks to herself most of the time in a confused old lady type of way-poor old gal is 18 after all. She gets lounder and louder as if she is having an argument with herself!

My kitties talk to me, especially if they want something. Last night Simon was having a fit, yelling at me, so I got up and followed him. He ran to the sliding glass door and meowed again. I looked out and there was a big toad on our porch. He was quite proud of himself for showing it to me!

That's very cool that your cat talks to his toys! How sweet.

There's no place like home
Koko will "talk" to any toy with feathers on it. Or perhaps its better described as a growl. Muddy does the same whenever he is able to get a rawhide away from the puppies.

JC rarely shuts up. We used to have Siamese, and they're known as chatterboxes, but this cat is even more talkative. The only problem we have with that is that he's so loud he sometimes disturbs the neighbors. There's nothing wrong with his hearing (he'll be outside on his second-floor balcony, and I'll be downstairs in the kitchen on the opposite side of the house, and if I open a can - with a manual opener - he'll be downstairs in a flash).

Molly sometimes talks, usually when she's looking for me to play, or when she's trying to wake me up at 2 am to play. Faile used to make funny chirping noises when she unraveled the toilet paper, she doesn't do that anymore, she must have grown out of it. Neither of them really meows, and I kind of miss it. My dear Tara, sadly at the Bridge, used to meow all the time. I think she was part Siamese, she talked a lot.

Yeah! He talks to that little rat toy I got him that used to hang from the door, but he chewed it off. It's usually the furry toys or stuffed animals he talks too. Some of those stuffed animals are actually mine, but he's adopted them.

THATS CUTE! Yeah, Frodo will do the same thing, except it's with his toys and he usually wants me to through it so he can play fetch. Yeah....my cat plays fetch! It's awesome....but of course only on his terms, if I try to show anyone that he can fetch, he'll usually grab the toy I just threw and head to another room. But most of the time he brings it right back to me and pushes it to me with his paw...like come on I'm waiting.
