A very sad day.

Sadly, Marshmallow's cancer has only gotten worse over the past month or so. The medicine from the holistic vet, which was supposed to eat away at the cancer cells doesn't seem to have done much good other than to turn half of his nose dark brown and scabby. The cancer seems to also have spread to his lymphnodes.

So, instead of making him suffer any more for my sake, Josh and I have chosen to go ahead and take him in to the vet to be put to sleep this evening.

This is a very, very sad day for us.

I am so sorry. Taking up his cause, I have included a tip in this month's newsletter about white cats and using sunscreen. I am so very sorry- but grateful that you are truly in Marshmallow's corner and understand that it is time to say goodbye.

Jillian, I'm so sorry that you have to make this choice. Marshmallow is indeed a very lucky cat. You brought him in off the street and loved him, and he couldn't have asked for a better home or better people. My heart goes out to you and Josh. Doing the best thing for Marshmallow is the hardest thing to do to yourselves. BIG LOVES to Marshmallow, and BIG HUGS to you and Josh...

Praying for you and your family, furred and nonfurred alike today, its not an easy thing to do, but it is easier than watching them suffer once they get to a point.
