We are going on a trip starting Sunday. We will be gone from May 23-May 31. My husband wants to move the cats' litter boxes into the living room so that we can shut the doors to all the bedrooms. (The litter box is in the master bathroom right now) Does anyone think this would be a problem? I hate to stress the kitties any more than necessary.

I thnk it would be OK, but part of me worries. I know they would use the boxes since they are very fastidious kitties, but do you think it would cause undo stress?

Thanks for the opinions!!

Although cats are very good about using the litter box, any sudden change could cause them to go elsewhere. I would also be cautious about keeping all the doors closed. The fact that you will be gone may upset them, and then they won't be allowed to visit rooms they normally do. If they sleep in your room, a lot of times they will curl up in bed for comfort. Too many changes at once, may cause some stress for them.
