Anne; I just want to say how much I appreciate your taking the time to create this forum for those of us left on "This Side of The Bridge" to share our HAPPY MEMORIES and help us get thru sad times.
I promise not to ask for anything else again. (Not for awhile
any way. . . . . . )

It is important for people to know that it is okay to cry and to feel and this board will be a good sounding board so they will be able to do so. This poem has always put my own feelings into perspective on the subject of passing over

Your favorite chair is vacant now
No eager purrs to greet me
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me

No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding
I've put away your bowl
And all the things you won't be needing

But I will miss you, little friend
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought to me
The comfort and the pleasure

And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow
I'm sure there will be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow

Thank you for asking for it and thus helping me make this site better. I need this kind of feedback to get moving

Damnit Hissy, I hate that poem!

I don't really hate it, it's beautiful, it's just that no matter how many times i see it, it always makes me tear up and get all emotional.

Please don't take me seriously when I say I hate it, I actually love it, I just can't believe how much it affects me every time I read it.
