I do! I do all kinds of crafts except anything to do with leathercrafting and eggs (because that's nasty and wasteful), knitting (because I can't do it), and needlepoint (again because I can't do it). I do all other kinds of crafts with my fave being making suncatchers, scrapbooking, soapmaking, and candlemaking (the last two being made with vegan materials of course!).

What crafts projects are you currently working on? Right now I have a hemp jewelry making kit that I'm doing. I'm making a necklace for me and a bracelet for my friend Kendra.

I wish I could figure out how to do needlepoint. I'm sad because I can't figure out how to do it.

I do scrapbooking but would also like to make soap because I have sensitive skin when it comes to soaps so I should make my own.

What products do you use to make your soaps VNG?

I use all kinds of stuff. I usually use recipes from
here:

http://www.cedarvale.net/soapcatagories/basicsoap.htm

They have both vegan and non-vegan soap recipes. However, if you have sensative skin like I do I'd recommend avoiding any soap made with animal fats, because its bad for sensative skin.

Vinceneilsgirl, that is a shame about the needlepoint. Have you looked for a self teaching magazine? Some are very good and easy to follow. But I don't know what mags are over there.

I have done soap making, knitting, card making, a lot of country sewing crafts, dough making, decorated jewellry boxes, toy making etc. Loads of stuff, I love crafts. I would like to try candle making. At the moment I am not doing anything. I love writing and am trying to make myself start again. What kind of suncatchers have you made? There are some very pretty ones.

I cross-stitch. It's the only craft-type thing I do. I will only do counted cross-stitch though...that way I can just follow the directions and get a pretty picture.
Right now I'm doing one with three kitties looking out a window at three birds. Other than that I'm so uncreative that I couldn't possibly do anything else.

I do scrim shaw. I haven't done it in awhile because it is so exacting of an art. But I do enjoy doing it and have even been involved with high end pieces that sold well.

I love doing needlepoint but have, specifically, four technical hitches which prevent me from actively pursuing this hobby. They are 1. Milo, 2. Popcorn, 3. Coco and 4. Vegemite.

vinceneilsgirlm I have a magazine with good pics on how to do needlepoint (tapestry). If I can fix my scanner, I may be able to scan the page for you.

I do sculpture. I did a couple pieces the standard way, with clay and a kiln. I also like to use polymer clay; you can bake it right in the oven.

I do needlework (specialty stitches, samplers reproduction or modern are my favorites) and counted cross stitch somewhat less. I'm TRYING to do scrapbooking but am not getting so far.

I just finished and got framed a birth sampler for the youngest grandchild, only to learn that the more recently-wed daughter is pregnant, so I'm looking again for a birth sampler design. (I find that I get slower and slower at completing birth samplers, the more grandchildren I get :-)).

The kitties LOVE to be very much involved in crafts projects, I've noticed, too!

I have same problem with my quilting, you put a quilt in my frame, and within 5 minutes there are six cats wanting to "help".

I do cross stitch, working on a picture that is 48"x35" (on 18 count) of an old farmhouse with a barn, flower gardens, etc. I've been working on it for the past 3 years in secret because it will one day be my mom's bday present
. I sew alot and just bought the pattern and fabric to make fish beds for Sam and Sally. I can't crochet or knit but I can tie knots in the yarn!

Tricia, whe you said ganglion cysts, at first I thought you were referring to your cats!
I love latch hook as well, but have even less chance of doing that because of my technical problems.

No, I've had carpal (sp?) tunnel syndrome since I was 18. I'm the least artistic member of a very artistic family (several professional artists and musicians, and my eldest niece has won acting and creative writing awards). I wonder sometimes why I even try. I can draw a good caricature of a dead mouse, but that's about it.

On 18 count Abby - wow I can only just about manage to see the 14! 12's best for me.
I am a textile artist (posh words eh!) using silks (dont like how its manufactured but nothing synthetic beats it I'm afraid). I make collage and framed pictures together with what ever takes my fancy (and what will sell) Heavily influenced by quilt art and Navajo weaving. I did my disitation(sp) on the Navajo weavers and jewellery makers-it is SO stunning. Trouble is the word 'craft' - it conjures up felt mice and such. Over here it has such negative conotations. I know that you are all more than that.
Dont you all wish there were more hours in the day to relax and enjoy the peace of your work?
I do knit but have never got the hang of crochet, how ever hard I try all i get is one long loopy string - I could cry.

I havent tried a self teaching mag. I'm just not good when it comes to anything involving thread! I also don't do cross stich.

I make all different kinds of suncatchers, always from kits. The last one I did was butterflys that once done were threaded together into a windchime.

I taught myself how to crochet. My book only gave right handed direction and I am left handed. So I crochet right handed. My favorite time to do it is in the cold weather.
I have done needlepoint too.
I have not been able to teach myself to knit (either right or left handed), because I feel like I need three hands.
