I rarely get updates on our adopted ferals, but I happened to get a recent picture of Jezebel, one of our feral kittens from last year.

What a fantastic evolution Jezabel has made! From a very scared kitten to obviously queen of her house! She is beautiful, and obviously a very spoiled little girl now.

How old was she when she was trapped and adopted? She looks older than the 8 weeks so many orgs say is the "time limit" on being able to socialize a feral kitten...

The first photo (where she's 3 weeks? 4 weeks?) was taken on 5/30/2003. The day she was captured was 10/19/2003. That's about 19 weeks. So assume it was about 22 weeks (5-6 months) when she was taken in to be socialized.

She is a house cat. She'll let her owner pick her up and pet her, but she's pretty skittish around other people. She's a little bossy about food, and she does go find her own place to sleep at night. But other than that, from what I've been told, she gets along with the family and with the other housecats.

It is wonderful to see the happy endings. In the first photo is the adult cat the mother to those kittens? I like orange females cats.

Yes, that's actually Jezebel with her mother. The mother's name has been changed a few time - we call her "Momma" or "Snaggletooth" or "Fang" because she's missing a small part of her lip that exposes her front tooth.

She was the mother of [at least] two litters in our complex before we were able to capture her and get her spayed.

Here's the other success story for her kids: Buddy

He was younger when we caught him and apparently is a major lap cat and very affectionate.

After he was adopted:

Seeing these pictures has made my day. It must make you feel so proud to know that you made it possible for these two kitties (and many more) to live a happy (more than likely very pampered
) life.

Jezebel is such a pretty little girl. Buddy is also very cute and Momma is quite a beauty too! So glad to hear they have loving homes.
