This is a crosspost:
SOS kitten emergency in Lake Co. Indiana!
24 four to six week old kittens (all eating on their own) were dumped by an elderly person's house today. The man called Treasured Friends (who
is full) for help. They are all friendly. They are assorted colors
(only two are black; none are all white, but probably every color in between).
They will have to go to rescues to be fostered/vetted/adopted out.
Theproblem is that 11 of the 24 have bad eye infections (no determination ofwhether it is rhino (herpes), calici or chalmydia or something else.
If we don't find places for these kittens, we will have to make some hard decisions (probably having most of them euthanized).
There is no place here to put them.
If any group, or anyone can help please e mail me
at: [email protected]
or e mail Luce Breaz at [email protected]
or call Luce at 219- 924- 4118 and leave a message;she will call you back in the evening.
We will arrange transportation to anywhere in Illinois, Indiana or areas of states bordering those states.
We know kitten season hit early and heavy this year (at least in NW IN it did), so if no one can help, we understand. We can't save them all, no matter how hard we try.
I will be traveling from Indianapolis to Terre Haute this Friday morning, if this helps anyone out in getting these kittens to the appropriate places.
