One of the best foster kitties that I've ever had, Max, went to the Bridge this past Saturday morning. He was diagnosed with FIP and I had decided that the time had come when on Saturday morning, he was unable to walk.

Maxie,

I only knew you for 10 days, but I felt like I'd loved you for 10 years.
You were the most lovable, huggable and kissable gentleman that I have known and I am so sorry to have seen you go.
I hope that when I get to heaven, I meet you at the bridge and you jump
into my arms, like you did last week, and push your nose up under my chin for a snuggle. I miss you very much and will plant an orange rose in your memory, my orange tabby boy. Please, keep sweet Minnie company up there.
I love you very much,

Your foster-mommy

Karen-
I am so sorry to hear about poor Max. Please feel better in knowing that the 10 days he spent with you were probably the best of his life. You loved him and were there by his side for him when he needed it. RIP sweet Max

My thoughts and prayers are with you Karen

I've gotta say that I sure am glad that Maxie was with me.

He was actually up for adoption and had interested parties calling on him. Had things been different, he may have gone home with someone within the first few days and they would have had to go through this with him. It's hard on me, but It would be much harder on someone who was planning on having him another 10 years or so.

Thank you for giving him a quick and dignified end. It doesn't matter how long they are with us, one hour or fifteen years, anytime they leave it is devastating

I'm sorry for your loss.

He's waiting and watching you from the RB, healthy and youthful and chasing butterflies and mice. He loves you and will be there for you.

RIP Max.
