I'm a bit worried about my last kitten's defecating. He's six days old now.

It's been a day since since he last went and the last time he did go it looked fine and there was a lot of it! I've read how to stimulate him to go so I think I'm doing it right. Is this something usual or do I need to see my vet immediately? Is there anything I can do to aid him in going regularly.

I would definately give the vet a call and go over the procedure with him on the telephone.

They can actually go 48 hours without passing stool, but at that 48 hour mark you should take him to the vet. You can dilute his formula a little bit with water, you can give him just a tiny bit of laxatone (hairball treatment) or you can add some canned pumpkin to his formula, not very much, as he is very tiny right now.
