I guess I don't know what to do with it right now . I have not seen the kitten yet and he will bring it in 10 - 20 minutes home . He said it may be 2 month old . I really can't separate the kitten from the others . If you read this please I need some help what I can or should do . Could it give my other cats real bad sicknesses ? Oh gosh please help me ... oh .... he is here

Hedi,

Can you isolate the kitten in a second bathroom...with a nice bed, some toys and lots of food? Because, yes, if the kitten has a brewing or active upper respiratory infectin, it could be a problem for your guys.

At 8 weeks, s/he is still a baby, probably hasn't had any shots or been wormed...do a good flea comb check too!

Details, details....I adore kittens & haven't had one in years.

It is a girl , grey and white kind of like marble looking and very cute of course . She has clear eyes so that is good , her butt looks good no runs or anything and that is good too . You can tell her food was not that good on her fur , it don't shine and is a little dull . Mike said to get her in the cat enclosure and that's where she is right now . Of course all the others sniffing her out and she is a little scared at this point . I guess I will check on her to make sure the others will not beat her up ...

Thank's Pat

I already run the comb through her , that was one of the first thing I did . No I can't keep her separate
, that is the problem
. It looks like she may even is 3 - 3 1/2 month old , but then I did not had a kitten for long time too . But she looks older then 2 month . Maybe some body dump her for my husband , they all know at the Police station we got cats . She also found the cat box and was trying to use it . So maybe some body really dump her

oh that's so sad. Is she nice and fat? or really skinny?

It's good that she has no obvious problems. What about her breathing? Can you hear a wheezing?

So far she sounds healthy. but it would be a good idea to take a quick run to the Vet's to see if there is anything more, ya know?

Good luck!

OH! and please post some pics!

Hedi,
She sounds adorable...I wonder if by marble looking you mean she has cream/pinkish tones to her white? If so, she's a tortie (love blue torties)...can't wait to see pix. Any chance at all that she might be lost, an outside kitten who went wandering?

OK , she is a Tabby and not a marble . I guess I did look wrong , sorry . I made some pictures of her and most did no come out well , only 2 of them are good . She is on the move all the time , of course a lot of hissing is going on right now . She is not eating and drinking at all , maybe scared . I will make a appointment tommorow morning for the late afternoon by the vet for her , then after work I can take her there . I need to make sure she is healthy . I guess I have to delete first some pics in order to up load one
. I go ahead and do this now so I can show you a pic of her

Hedi..thanks for taking in this kitten...I would highly recommend finding some way to keep her separated...because there are sooo many things that outdoor cats can catch that are infectious to other cats(for instance..today I learned about "moving dandruff"...
...so when I got home from the vet clinic, I put all my clothes into the wash and took a very long, hot, vigorous brushing bath before even allowing my cats to touch me). Also...although I've never had it...ringworm is yet another thing to be on the watch for....I suggest you keep her in the crate overnight and just make sure she is healthy before you release her to be with all your other cats. Just as a precaution.

Good Luck.

Hedi,
Oh it is possible for her to have tabby markings and marble markings as you thought, then she'd just be called a torbie instead of a tortie

I have both in my house, love'em! Off to look for the photo of her,

I can't upload any pics sorry . I don't want to delete my pics of the cat enclosure .

Thank you all for your reply

I don't know if I want to keep her in a carrier , that would be all I got . Is that not a little small for her to stay for more then 24 hours ?

Hedi...If there is a way to keep her separated in a room...that is preferred I think....or in a bigger enclosure..but again..away from your other cats....just trying to be on the safe side until you can get her seen by your vet.

Are you taking her this morning(to the vet) if so good luck! I hope she's healthy.

Hedi, I'm not going to home until tomorrow night but if you like I could post some pictures of her for you, seeing as I have no attachments and I've got a free linking site. Just email me the pictures, [email protected]
Can't wait to see her!

Thank you Sam , I just send you a email
. You are a sweet girl

No Sam I go tommorow evening with her to the vet , we still got Sunday her .

Well , I think she got fleas
. She seems to lick herself to often and I think I found some dirt from fleas in her fur . I also notice since she is finaly sitting still in that room , that she has one eye what looks pink to me
. Gosh I hope my cats don't get that now
. She was finaly eating too , I guess in that room she is feeling save . She like to sit on my lap and don't mind me petting her . But she don't like me to pet her belly
I wonder why . Maybe she got some worms too
. I am sure glad I thought about that room and wish that I was thinking of that befor I placed her in the enclosure
.

She sure is a sweet girl , kissing my hand
. We will call her PD Girl , Police Department girl LOL .

PD girl found the litter box and has used it , that make me think she was owned by some one befor
. I know there were a couple of people asking my husband if he wanted a kitten and wonder now if one of those people just dumped this girl there for my husband to find . It would not surprice me at all
(sight) people . She is sneezing every once in a while and I think she feels a little warm to me , maybe she got a fever
. Or maybe I am just afraid now that she got some kind of sickness she could have passed to my other cats
Oh gosh I hope not and can't wait till she was checked by a vet .

First thing to is really vet. Wisest thing as well. Wash your hands a lot to, even after vet appointment.

She won't eat for a few days, I am sure of that. Pretty normal for any kitty when moved or entering somewhere new. More so for a feral.

Feral kittens are like wrestleing with a cactus. Some are sweet, some calm down in a couple days... Bribe slowly with food.

As soon as she starts to eat, KITTEN FOOD. Her coat indicates some malnutrician(sp) in my opinion. Coat is a good sign of that.

Did you check for ear mites?

Thanks Trapper Charles

I did look in her ears and could not see any earmites , but I guess they can check her at the vet for mites .I sure made plenty of notes for the vet tommorow
. PD Girl did eat some try food I have but not much though , no not kitten food . I going to have to get some tommorow for her . She sure was with people befor ,the way how she snuggles on my lap to nap . I sure did wash my hands each time I come back in the house , just to make sure . I do out of happit wash my hands each time I come in from the outsite , no matter where I was , just in case .I also have change my cloth too after comming in tonight
But good thinking to wash hands after the vet visit .

Good progess if the cat even looks at food. Means it may not stress itself to death. Never seen it with a kitten yet, but sure it has happened.
