Samwise in the shower

You may know that Turkish Vans are affectionately known as "The Swimming Cat."

Here Samwise asks, "Turn on the water, Mommy!"

And, yes, he is still wearing his turtleneck, but his boo-boo is definitely getting better. If he would just leave it alone....

Cheers,

We are really not too sure yet, Squirtle. Because of his boo-boo, he has only had one bath since he joined us here on the beach. Initially he showed an interest in the water -- at least no fear of it, but he showed absolutely no interest in the Goop/shampoo.

Maybe that is just the way of little boys of all the species??

Too funny! I was wondering because Dori likes to jump in the tub and hide from me. She will stick her head up and peek out. Once when she was at the opposite end from the faucet, I turned the water on a little to see her reaction. She seemed interested in the water until her little paws got wet, she took off. It was so funny

He's a true Van! Last week I took another detour past the "Van Family" near work. One of the cats was sitting on a rock in the middle of the pond - she had to have swum there, because it was too far from "shore" to jump.

All of my cats love the bathtub. They demand to get drinks from the facet and Frosta plays with the water. She doesn't seem to mind getting wet!!

Perhaps, jcat, you do not realize how far a Van can jump!

We would love to hear more about "The Van Family."

If he likes getting wet I am sure him and my Solomon would make a great couple playing in a bathtub!!!!
Everytime when I am taking bath- Solomon just jumps in it- and water doesn't bother him at all- he tries to play with me RIGHT IN A water- isn't it weird????? Funny picture though!

I'll have to try and get a picture of my Samwise in the tub. He likes water so he'll run into the bathroom jump in the tub then start crying for me to turn the water on. It's too cute.

My kitties love fooling round in the bath- if I had time I'd share pics! but I've shown you them before anyway. Samwise is such a cutie, I always enjoy his pics. My kittys toilet tray is in the spare shower so they would probably freak if they saw water coming out of the shower while they're in the tray! lol
