I had some of the Tomahawk #608 traps arrive today, with the 2nd door. I have to say -- I almost think I favor the Tru-Catch traps. They don't seem as durable (the coating on ours is coming off), but they don't have a spring-loaded door like the Havahart and Tomahawk traps do.
I'm always concerned with spring-loaded doors that if two cats are going in at once (for example, a mother and kitten) -- that the door can come down hard on the 2nd cat. I don't think that would happen as much with the Tru-catch design.
Thoughts?
